Entrants in this area are invited to submit for an award in one or more of the following categories:

1. Single Family Home Detached Under $250,000
2. Single Family Home Detached $250,000- $349,999
3. Single Family Home Detached $350,000-$449,999
4. Single Family Home Detached $450,000-$549,999
5. Single Family Home Detached $550,000-$649,999
6. Single Family Home Detached $650,000- $749,999
7. Single Family Home Detached $750,000-$999,999
8. Single Family Home Detached $1,000,000-$1,499,999
9. Single Family Home Detached $1,500,000 and over
10. Single Family Homes Attached Under $250,000
11. Single Family Homes Attached $250,000-$399,999
12. Single Family Homes Attached $400,000 and above
13. Best Kitchen
14. Best Master Suite
15. Best Outdoor Living

Categories will be broken down into two division based on builder volume.

1. Builders who build 1-24 homes a year
2. Builders who build 25 or more homes a year.

Judging criteria
Each entry in the Building Excellence Awards Program is judged on the following elements:

• Aesthetics
• General Design
• Budgetary Considerations
• Challenges and Obstacles

The judges for the Building Excellence Awards will consist of selected building professionals with experience in design, construction, and operation of new home construction. Judges will use the pictures and information provided in the entry packet to evaulate the entry on the criteria listed above.

Awards Ceremony
Winners will be announced at the Evening of Excellence awards ceremony on May 22, 2010 at the Waterfront Marriott in Downtown Portland.
