*Supporting Education and Workforce Development
The Home Builders Foundation provides tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships annually for high school students entering college and post-secondary students already working towards construction-related programs. We provide mentors to many scholarship recipients, fund projects supporting educational programs related to housing and homebuilding such as the Portland Youth Builders Programs (at-risk youth) and the Portland Children’s Museum’s Building Bridgetown Exhibit. These efforts, as well as support for local construction programs like the Northwest College of Construction, introduce youth to career opportunities available in the home building industry, support their educational efforts, and ensure a quality workforce is available for our industry’s future.
To date, the Foundation is proud to report over $110,000 in scholarships awarded to local high school and college students.
