Building Green Council (BGC):

The goal of the Building Green Council is to promote green building among the building community and to advance the green building knowledge base in the community and among builders. To accomplish this, the BGC helps develop, coordinate, and promote green building education, information, technical assistance and communications to HBA members. The BGC also works to enhance the recognition and promotion of green building amongst home builders and consumers. Annual membership cost is $75.
Professional Remodelers Organization:

The Professional Remodelers Organization is comprised of more than 250 HBA members who are affiliated or work in the remodeling industry and provides a format for networking and self-promotion. Recent activities and projects include: Tour of Remodeled Homes, Remodel Portland magazine–slick glossy full color magazine for the Tour of Remodeled Homes, Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) education programs, Surplus Sale, Rebuilding Together, and monthly lunch meetings held at HBA or hosted by Professional Remodelers Organization members in their showrooms.The annual membership fee of $75 (in addition to the basic HBA dues) includes membership in the NAHB Remodelers Council. Sales and Marketing Council (SMC):

The Sales & Marketing Council was designed to raise the level of professionalism in the sales and marketing of new homes. The SMC offers Certified New Homes Sales Professional (CSP) courses, Institute of Residential Marketing certification courses, and continuing education credits toward real estate license renewal. The annual membership fee of $75 (in addition to your basic HBA dues) includes membership in the National SMC and a subscription to the National Sales Marketing Council IDEAS magazine.
